Did anyone else miss the Tony's?

I missed the Tony's but thanks to you lovely, positively explicit people, I feel like I didn't. Plus, my friend recorded it. So with due time, I too will see the Tony's. But, I am still curious, did anyone else miss the Tony's?

You probably missed the show because about an hour in, TiVo renamed it The Idina Gong Show. Have you heard of her? She played, like, Amneris in Aida or something.

I did but only because they don't show it overseas... but I'll get to see a tape of the program later in the week.

i missed the Tony's except for the 10:00 hour, but I'll get my tape pretty soon. I hope it comes to me.

SO much talk about the Tonys here and elsewhere on theater boards...how on earth could anyone have missed them?

Don't worry...you didn't miss much. LOVED some of the choices for awards but thought the broadcast was rife with technical problems and BORING as all get out.

And speaking of GET OUT -- Nicole...there's the door!

The only really good performances were Kristin's in her bubble (hillarious) and "It Sucks to Be You."

And Hugh's performance from THE BOY FROM OZ ( including the impromptu dance with Sarah Jessica Parker) - it's likely that this scene from the TONYs was what bumped the show to near-100.0% sell-out at the box office.

Being another overseas Broadway follower, I also missed the actual telecast but a friend has generously sent me a tape right away.

i missed most of the show. i thought my tape was set, but it wasn't!

Never. Plus, this year's edition got the lowest ratings in the history of the awards so CBS will hardly be rushing to get a rerun of it on the air.

I totally forgot the Tony's...I think I was on holiday...
