Did anyone else notice this?

I saw the touring company of Wicked two times in Chicago and both times, this one male actor (who played a student at Shiz) would wear the male top costume (shirt, sweater etc) but the female bottom (skirt). Did anyone else notice this during any other performance, tour or otherwise?

A guy wore a skirt in the Broadway production too. It's Oz. They can wear whatever they want to wear

yeah i saw it in chicago. I thought it was weird but I had just figured that maybe one of the girls was sick or something........lol.

If it's a kilt, it's a really long free-flowing kilt.

Well, they had Radames kicking it in a skirt in Aida...maybe this is going to be a new trend. Men in long flowing skirts. Hmmm...

Hey, I never said that was a bad thing!

ETA: I thoroughly enjoyed Adam's flowy skirt in Aida!...I didn't really notice the skirt(s) in Wicked, but I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for it if hell freezes over and they cast Alice Ripley or someone equally fabulous (the only way my ass is going back to the Gershwin any time soon).
