I saw the play last night, and thought he was very good. Convincing. But I cant say his performance or the role itself warrants much more to say than that.

Scarlett was adequate, charming but not given much of the heavy lifting in this. Liev was a knockout and Jessica Hecht was a marvel. A lot of shakey dialogue still, though understandable as it's still in previews. Aside from some great performances, I found the play, like All My Sons, a complete throwaway in the first act and only meaty and engaging in the second. The last 10 minutes are when the play really explodes, but I cant say I got my money's worth. An okay play, but not a must see.

I sat two rows behind Naomi Watts (I kind of expected families and friends to wait until opening night to attend, which I'm sure she will). I said a quick hello as I love her work. She was very lovely. Sorry for the impromptu review :P

I saw the play Saturday night as well and had almost exactly the same reaction. Liev was amazing, Jessica very effective and Scarlett OK but nothing remarkable, largely because despite the fact that her character is central to everything, it's not much of a part. She mostly has to stand around looking concerned.

I thought Morgan was excellent, by the way.

My reaction to the play itself was sort of muted. Some very disturbing aspects and some very powerfui moments but more solid than sensational.
