I think Ms. Duke is a brilliant actor. I think Gene Kelly must have been drinking when he wrote these liner notes.

But that said, I've always been curious to hear how Patty was as Rose. Did anyone see it? And thanks to Marquise for sharing that link on the off topic board...

LOL Michael Bennett. I'm sure Gene Kelly didn't *really* write those liner notes. It sounds like something a press agent or publicist would come up with. He probably just lent him name to that (lost) cause.

According to Rathnait Anna Marie (that's her real name) Duke has since taken voice lessons and can sing her little tush off and seeing as this is 2005 and that album was released way back in '67 there has allegedly been room for improvement. All I know is what I've heard.
