Did anyone witness the crazed actresses at the Theaterworks audition today?

Apparently some friends told me about this actors riot that happened over the sign up sheet.. If the 2 girls who started this mess are on this board, SHAME on you. Why must actors treat other actors like such crap at auditions? It doesn't help you in any way. I am sorry to start a thread like this but, from what I heard, it disgusts me. I witness this garbage far too much and it sounds like this morning was a horrible ordeal because these 2 girls took it upon themselves to pretend to be monitors.
If you're going to be in a professional industry, then act in a professional manner.

apparently, 2 girls took it upon themselves to "trick" everyone into thinking THEY were the monitors. They started ordering everyone at the audition around. Signup wasnt supposed to be until 9am and those who got to chelsea early and signed up on the unofficial list went to get coffee and such but, these girls decided that 7:30am was when THEY were going to start the official sign in times because as one stated (thats how theaterworks normally does it...)... They were from what I heard 2 snotty witches.. They had people LINE UP to sign up for their times... and told everyone they were gonna call the names.. And other actors who knew the TW policy objected but the nastier of the 2 actresses started saying "No. This is how it’s ALWAYS done. Every single time. Always. You CAN’T leave the room." And those of us know that's not how theaterworks is run. And I am sure if RObin Carus found out who these girls were, she wouldn't let them shine the floor of the tour van.. anyway, My friend went on to say that despite arguments the girls started calling the list. People grudgingly lines up and the rest of the people just moaned and groaned at what was occuring. They ordered the entire room around including telling people where to stand. The girl reading the names of the 2 actresses was reading them in a low voice (because i guess she didnt want to pop a chord for when she'd bust out defying gravity or show off...) so everyone in the room asked her to speak up and she screamed "NO! YOU GUYS BE QUIETER". My amazing, CALM, classy and talented friend also stated that Gradually, the behavior in the room got worse. People were sneaking up to sign the alternate list without getting in line. Some were approaching the girl reading the names telling her that she doesn't know what she is doing and to start over. People were yelling at each other from across the room. She said it reminded her of a scene from "Mean Girls" where theres like a jungle fight. 2 of my other friends also said it was a disgusting display of actors and these 2 girls who brought the mood down. Honestly, would any of us REALLY want to work with any of these people? Do they teach how to be an asshole without really trying in musical theater schools now?

Did any of your friends at the audition catch the names of the boitch actresses who were causing this Amneris? If so isn't it possible to contact Theaterworks and tell them of the ordeal? Maybe then you could see about having them punished for their childish behavior.

UNBELIEVABLE! I can't believe the real monitors didn't do anything. That sucks.....

Wait....

I'll bet someone did tell them.... They have to know. I'll bet these girls have been blackballed from this. And as HUGE as NYC is with all of the talented people...it's freaky how small of a town it can be when it comes to reputations......

Let's all hope they screwed themselves.

And if the culprits ARE here.....ladies, TALENT and PERSERVERENCE will get you to the top. Not this bull****.

Karma karma karma......

That's absolutely disgusting.

And it reminds me of the play 'The Role of Della', where a woman who doesn't have an audition card pretends to be the auditioner/director. A girl comes in to audition, and the fake director makes her do crazy things. In the end the fake director throws the girls headshot away, and takes her audition card. After the girl auditioning leaves, the real director comes, and the fake director uses the exact same monologue and routine that the other girl used for her audition.

Sounds like they were pretty good actresses!!

Theaterworks/USA did have an audition for Seussical yesterday with a 9am call time, so that matches up. I'm also curious to know what happened when the real monitors showed up. Did they honor the unofficial list and not start a real one?!

At any rate, your friend needs to email Theaterworks about this. If someone's posing as a TW employee and ordering around the auditioners as described here, they need to know about it so they can stop it from happening again. Or at least find out who these actresses are and blacklist them. Were they silly enough to write their own names first on the list, I wonder...?

wait A minute... more importantly... theaterworks/usa is doing SEUSSICAL? when?
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Yes this was AT CHELSEA Studios Yesterday morning for SEUSSICAL NYC Theaterworks. Three of my friends left (1 got disgusted) and the other 2 waited but knew they werent getting seen. So i dont really have the answers as to what happened... I was told though that this is normal at TWs calls.. perhaps Robin needs to do something about this because I am SURE she doesnt want these kinds of people working for her...and one can only assume that these 2 bitches excuse my slang were at the front of the list...
