I thought this show was total bull****. It felt like a bunch of inside jokes that I didn't know about. This is probably because I have not seen the movie but still - you should not have to watch a movie in order to enjoy a show. The score was corny sounding and I didn't like most of it (I enjoyed Find Your Grail, Diva's Lament and a couple others). Anybody else feel this way?
P.S. Tim Curry was very nice at the stage door for someone that famous. Ramirez has a big head and did not come out.

Yes, normally you shouldn't have to watch a film to udnerstand a show, but for a show that's advertised as "Monty Python's Spamalot." I don't mind you disliking the show, as everyone is free to have their opinion, but I went in to this anticipating nothing but cheesiness.

"The score was corny sounding" - as was its intention! This wasn't called "Sondheim's Spamalot" or "Lerner and Lowe's Spamalot" - it is a PARODY of CORNY broadway shows. I don't know what you wuold expect from a show like this except corniness.

It also bothers me how you assume Ramirez didn't come out because she has a big head. She came out last weekend and was lovely, irnoincally, Curry did not. But I am not assuming it is "because he has a big head" - he probably had his reasons as did Ramirez.

Oh, and I'm not a huge Python fan, but loved this show for what it was worth. Not my favorite, but no more fun is to be had in a theatre than this!!!

I really want to see this show.
I think I will love it. There are no tickets to be had.
I adore Monty Python.
When will The Meaning of Life come to Broadway.

The time they do the Meaning of Life I might get a ticket to Spamalot.

loved the show.....hated the movie, so I do not believe you have to be a fan of the movie, or Monty Python to appreciate this movie.

Big-headed because she did not come out of the stage door? Give me a break. She works her ass off in eight shows a week, she can't be expected to come out after every single performance.

She came out when I was there. And Tim Curry didn't. The entire cast is not obligated to come out and sign.

I also agree that you don't have to have seen the movie to enjoy the show. Perhaps your real issue is with the British comedy style itself? Spamalot is heavy with it since Holy Grail was heavy with it.
