It's a thoughtfully written article that shows Patrick's personality and dedication to acting. Well done by both Joe and Patrick.

I cracked up at the "lit up like a beacon" part. I bet she hasn't even seen it yet. She's away for the holiday and was complaining about dial-up at her mom's. Can't wait to hear what she says, once she revives.

i wonder if the author is at all aquainted with her... i mean, "lit up like a beacon" is not exactly a commonly-used metaphor... this seems like more than a coincidence to me!

This article totally made my day. Seeing Patrick's name in big, bold letters on the front page made me grin all stupid-like. Hehehe.

Wonderful article/interview! It definitely shows what kind of passion he has for his work and the theatre. I can't wait to find out what he does next on Broadway. Hopefully I'll get to catch it. :)

ETA: By the way? I totally think he needs to be in People's "Sexiest Man Alive" issue. Yeah... hehe... Updated On: 11/24/04 at 11:23 AM

"When informed that his choral background was evident in the clear diction and enunciation was apparent in his aforementioned performance in TENDERLOIN, Wilson lit up like a beacon."

*floats among the clouds giggling, all self-respect tossed to the wind* (It may not have been an intentional joke, but the interviewer does know me...in any event it does make for a clever quip.)

I loved the interview. It is always nice to read an article on a performer that is written by someone who knows them. There's an air of familiarity and comfort that rings through the work giving it an extra appeal. In this interview we have a chance to get to more about Patrick the person as well as the performer.

Thanks, Joe! You did a wonderful job. Bravo!

And,
reading that he hopes to be on stage in 2005 I was ready to do cartwheels. I can't wait to see Patrick perform in person. It's been 2 years since he did Oklahoma and there are lots of new Broadway-philes who need to see what all the fuss is about.

I'm saving my pennies for the trip...and any associated bail needs. LOL. Forward all restraining orders to the Adults/Smoking thread on the off-message board! :o)

Good job and congratulations.

The other day this really butch lesbian came up and started strangely hitting on me...imagine my shock and delight when I realized it was Patrick Wilson in his Phantom Of The Opera wig and outfit!!

Can't wait for him to come back to Broadway...

Lovely interview. I didn't know much about this young man prior to his being cast as Raoul. Sounds like he's a great person. I look forward to seeing him on the big screen as Raoul.

Dollypop, It truly is an excellent article. You all have talked about how great Patrick is for most of the time I've been on this board, but, living overseas as I do, I've missed seeing him in the various things he's done on Broadway and on television. I've been looking forward to seeing the Phantom film for awhile, and now that I have this extra information on the "impossibly perfect Patrick Wilson" (is that what ALW called him? re: Dinner With Patrick Wilson - A Conversation with One of Broadway's Favo) my anticipation is heightened. I already like what I hear via the highlights from Amazon. Updated On: 11/25/04 at 04:51 PM

I wish Miriam would write a regular column for this site. She has so much to share about Broadway 'way back when.

Please?

Maybe the editors of this website could contact Miriam and invite her to do a regular column here. Rob? Craig?
