Go for it! Chris is a really nice, personable, and slyly funny guy.
oh my God, I just wet my pants.........I WOULD KILL FOR THIS!
Go for it, but according to the wesbite your winning bid will buy Chris dinner with David Hyde Pierce:

i am sooooo bidding on this
Rent - 5,000
Mama Mia - 1,000
Contemplating hard about bidding for the Rent auction. But do I really want to torture the poor theater goer with my voice?

Did you guys happen to check out some of the other auctions? You could also be in Phantom if you wanted to...
No worries, Forester...All you'd have to do is walk in at support meeting and say "Forester" when everyone says their names. Sure you'd get to sing along for the rest of Another Day, etc. but no one would really hear you. If you've got the cash, I say go for it!...But aren't you in Africa??
Dinner with both Chris and David. Very interesting pair, as one is very much an out gay actor and the other one...isn't out. Would that put a damper on certain conversation topics?
Mabel:
Yeah, but I have vacation time comming. I needed a reason to drag the girlfriend back home, maybe this is a reason. So she can see me in all my glory torturing theatergoers and have the Phantom drop the chandellir on my head.
Well, good luck, should you give it a go! It certainly doesn't hurt to put a bid in, right?! I wonder where they'd stick the auction winner in at Phantom? That might actually be more fun, getting all decked out, etc. (I'd imagine they'd just toss you into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt at RENT)
Yeah, I think the Phantom appearance would be more interesting. Wearing the costume alone would make it worthwile.

I wish I could bid, but you have to be 18. I would kill to be RENT or Phantom...or have that dinner!

i believe it just says you have to be 18 to bid. maybe you can get a parent or someone to bid for you? i would check it out first but just an idea :)
i think the whole Chries and David thing would be quite awkward!

I thought David was out too. I mean, when you don't bother trying to hide the fact that you are gay, isn't that the same as being out?

gfakhkyudhsfhg!!!!
If only I had the money.
I say we find out what night this happens on...get a whole bunch of us together...and charge the stagedoor.
Hell - we could do that any night.
just kidding, though. In case no one picked up on that.
Well, thank g-d you said you were kidding. I almost plotzed. Almost.
If I was Donald Trump I would buy the damn show and cast whomever I wanted and they WOULD do the show.

Well if you become Donald Trump anytime soon, don't forget to incorperate Dakota Fanning into the show. People will be enraged if shes not. :)
Chris Sieber's been on the cover of the Advocate twice, once with his partner. He's very open about being gay and being part of a couple (with Kevin Burroughs). David has never gone on record, and no reputable news magazine would ever dare print that he is gay, which is a very very big difference in my book.
OMG!!! I really want the Rent one!! too bad I don't even have $600....
I need to win the lottery, I think $160 million should do me..
When I saw RENT, there was a guy on during those scens listed, so i gues si saw the actors fund thing. i still ahve the insert too.
