Dirty Rotten Clips

Not sure if these have been posted yet. The first song is with John Lithgow, and it was not impressive. The second if with Norbert and the third Sherie.

Overall they are ok. The show should be interesting.

They get better as you go down the list...the best being "Here I Am" with Sherie.

Okay, I don't understand why John Lithgow does musicals. He was flat just to begin with.

Why did Norbert talk through his song? They shoulda picked a clip where he actually sings!

Sherie is awsome as always, despite what seemed like slight intonation problems, which are very forgivable because it seems like a hard note to hit.

I liked "Great Big Stuff," simply because Norbert puts so much energy into it (even though that clip doesn't allow him to show off his vocal skills). I wasn't so crazy about "Give Them What They Want." Sherie was great, though.

I loved "Great Big Stuff" Norbert is so wonderful!! I loved Sherie too!, I liked John's song too, but not as much as the other two. I really really hope i can see this show

Wish the clips had been longer! John Lithgow does seem a little flat. But Norbert and Sherie are fabulous.

John is always just -eh- . In Sweet Smell of Success (i looved it) he was just ok, but as always, they had stacked up a wonderfully talented cast to back him up, so good thing they got Norbert and Sherie in there.

Very nice clips. Norbert brought a whole lot of energy to his clip, and Sherie was great. John's wasnt too bad either.

However, I have to be technical. I like the rotating stage, but the lighting in the clips wasn't too good, IMO. Maybe just me, but I pay close attention to details like that lol

HMmM.. i have to say that i REALLLLY disliked the first clip with John. Norbert and Sherie were great. I wonder, if John gets horrible reviews, if they'll re-cast the part with someone else before the move to Broadway. I seriously doubt it though, since he has such a big name. I guess it COULD happen though.

as much as i like john lithgow i'm really not fond of his song, hopefully his others are better. I think the donut turntable is an interesting touch (the center doesn't move)

Set looked cool; I liked the location change at the end of Sherie's number.
Nobert and Sherie sounded great; can Sherie say "French" anymore?
John....not so much. Sorry man. It was hard being your only fan in Chicago when "SSOS" opened. I don't know if I can habdle that responsibility again.

I could be mistaken, but i think i read somewhere that Brian's son was born during that time so thats why he didn't continue with DRS. I would have loved to see and hear him in the role, he is such an amazing talent. I can only image how glorious his gorgeous voice would have sounded with Norbert's gorgeous voice...oh well. I'm going to give John some time, he is a very good actor who can handle comedy perfectly (I was a huge fan of 3rd Rock form the sun), hopefully he only gets better.
(random thought)I want to see Norbert do Ruprecht sooooooooooooooo bad!

Well, you can put your fears to rest...just saw DRS today, and Lithgow was great...fine comedic form and his voice was fine, not sure what everyone's problems are or how bad the clips were, but he sounded great today. He was really right for this role, sauve, charming, a bit conceited, caring, daring and above all....FUNNY.

More on the show in a different post, but for the record, JL was tops.
