Discrepancies on Musical Recordings.

Has anyone noticed glaring indiscrepancies on musical recordings and in musical databases on the internet.

Some examples:

RCA Victor credits Melba Moore with singing "I Believe In Love" on the OBC of "Hair". Anyone with 1/2 a brain in their head knows that it's Lynn Kellogg and not Melba singing that song.

Sony credits Betty Wand for singing "America" on the soundtrack to "West Side Story". Wand did dub Rita Moreno on "A Boy Like That/I Have A Love" but it's clearly Moreno doing her own vocals on "America".

Then there are the internet databases. You know the ones that provide you with information on the CD you pop into your PC to download to your hard drive. Those are the worst. They categorize almost all of the broadway cast recordings as "soundtracks", and the funny thing is their is a category for "musicals"! Album names for cast recordings are also given a soundtrack designation. I just downloaded the OBC to "Hair" to my PC and it labels it "Hair - Soundtrack"! Then there's the performer category, they're so lazy to put in a performers name that they label all songs as "various artists". It's annoying because I have to sit there and re-type all this information. I'm a stickler for accuracy.

Speaking of accuracy not trying to be rude but I believe the word you are looking for is discrepancies. "Indiscrepancies" is not actually a word.
