I'm aware that Walt Disney World has a huge college internship program, but does anybody know of any types of internships for Disney Theatricals specifically? I haven't found anything specifically online, but I did find one person's breif account about interning for Disney Theatricals, so I know it's possible. Thanks!

note: I've posted this on the student board also, but I thought some of the more experienced posters may have an answer.

They are not specific on what exactly you will be doing, but I do know that they hold several Orientations in every city. If you look back in their website, there should be a list of upcoming orientations close to you, and I bet they will be glad to answer any questions.

I believe Disney also produces under the name Hyperion Theatricals - or at least they used to; I did merchandising for Lion King several years ago and that's what the name was on all the paperwork.

My advice: go get a playbill to one of their shows and look at the staff listings in the back to get an idea of who does what for who.

The Disney College Program is not really an internship, it's more of like cheap labour for Disney to use at their theme parks. You should look for more information about their internships on their job website http://corporate.disney.go.com/careers/index.html

It is cheap labour, however, they a lot of times pick from those who do shows in Disney to go onto other things, it's also a good way to get your name in the door...and several recent leading ladies are Disney "Grads"
