A friend of mine told me to check out this song Diva Dance from the movie Fifth Element. He thought it was Sarah Brightman but according to amazon it is someone else. Anyway, he was saying he thought it might be digitally altered as it seems impossible to sing, anyone know anything about it. I heard the song and it is pretty amazing.

I'm pretty sure it's not Sarah Brightman. I have the soundtrack, but I don't have the case with me at the moment to tell you who it is exactly. (I'm sure you could Google it and find out definitely.) And there's no way in hell that it's not digitally-enhanced. It is really neat, though. It's one of my favorite parts of that movie.

Weird I googled it and did get results with Sarah Brightman, so maybe she covered it or maybe th person was mistaken, but I did find this as well:
The diva dance opera performance used music from Lucia di Lammermoor Part Two, Act Two, N. 14 Scena ed aria, "O giusto cielo!" and was voiced by Inva Mula-Tchako. As Plavalaguna is an alien, the music was scored with some vocalisations that are rumoured to be physically impossible, however in the documentary on the Special Edition version of the film it is stated, in fact, that the singer's voice was NOT digitally altered.

Riiiiight, I find that incredibly hard to believe.
