Do Closing Nights Offer Rush?#1

I have never been to a closing night of a show before, but I just realized my intended departure date from New York back home (in other words, the date my trip comes to a close) is Feb. 28, the day before Gypsy closes. Since I've already paid to see it at regular price in the past and plan to see it for the third/fourth time via student rush, I'm wondering if closing nights offer rush. Normally I would think it'd be sold out, but with Gypsy playing at lower capacity than normal already, I doubt it will be entirely sold out. The good thing about student rush is that I don't mind getting there ridiculously early if it meand I get a good seat (last time I got there an hour before anyone else, but brought along a portable DVD player and watched Damages). So I'm just wondering what is usual for closing night of a show. Any input is greatly appreciated, as it kind of determines if I stay the an extra weekend or not. And as always, a thousand thank yous.

Yes, they absolutely do.

YES!!!! Oh, Foster, you once again bring me nothing but joy. Now if you don't mind entertaining one last question (and others can feel free to pipe in as well), for something like Gypsy (and keep in mind, I've never been to a last show, so I have no idea what to expect attendance-wise), how early should one expect to get there for rush? Last time I embarrassingly got there at 8:00, which was entirely unnecessary. Should I be expecting people to come overnight (sorry if that sounds ridiculous, but I've heard it for other things)? Thanks again.

It's really a toss up. I do know there are some die-hard PATTI LUPONE GYPSY fans here in the city who have rushed the show many times throughout the run. And I have no doubt they will be rushing the final performance.

I say bundle up and get there early if you want to get a front row seat. If you don't mind getting put in the balcony after the front row people get tickets, you can get there a little later.

So, maybe get there at 5am to play it safe if you want front row. And 7am if you don't mind the balcony.
