I forget, was there anything in this that specifically gave the backgrounds on these kids? Like are they all theater kids?
I'll admit, I have seen all 7 movies and knew them right away. But, I was not a teen when I saw most of them. I was 12 when I saw Singin' In the Rain in music class. And 13 or 14 with Fiddler. But, I never saw The Sound of Music all the way through until I was 19. And that was because it was in a college class. And we also watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers too. I forget when I saw the other 3. But, I think I was in my 20's. And now that I think of it, I don't recall ever seeing the entire film of The Music Man.

I agree with you. My 15 year old daughter and her friends know far more about musical theater than my friends did at that age, forty years ago. It was a bit unfair to quiz those kids on films that were fifty to sixty five years old, no matter how famous to previous generations.
