Now the question is is Gerald Butler any good and will he be a good Phantom. Have you ever heard of his voice? cause i havent. Maybe he will be good. Maybe.... I still think Hugh Jackman would have been good but we are bound to find out. let me know what you think. Updated On: 10/12/03 at 01:31 PM

Posted: 10/12/03 at 2:01pmI think Hugh would have been better, but I think Gerald will do the part justice...at least I hope so. I'm looking forward to this movie. ALW just better hope that the whole musical movie phase doesn't die out by the time his movie comes out.

It's hard to say at this point. As has been pointed out, his only prior music experience has been some kind of rock band. But for all we know, Butler will surprise us all.
Yes, Jackman would have been excellent, but I, for one, certainly can't blame Hugh for chosing Broadway over this film.

That's an understatement--for anyone.
Ok, I won't say what I really think. I'll be good.

Posted: 10/12/03 at 5:37pmThey could cast anyone they want in any of the roles. As long as that consummate boob Joel Schumacher is directing, the film of Phantom of the Opera will be a tasteless atrocity, along the lines of his laughable Batman movies. Get ready for a fiasco of Showgirls proportions, folks, because it won't be anything else.
