Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Well, it's about time he got over here! But do you have a link to share?

I love the composers to death, but the reviews in Australia were so bad, could this be a second Secret Garden?

Yes, it'll be the "Secret Deodorant Garden". All the artwork will be ice blue!

Yeah...I remember reading that it was received horribly.

The show we saw in Australia has been reworked to what is now showing in Seoul, and will be tweaked again for the New York opening.

Where in either of those does it even hint that Warlow could be coming to Broadway?

This is not coming from a press release, Warlow has been asked to take the show to New York.

And I never said mine came from a link of any sort!

What do you guys think to this song?

I mean it sounds nice but is there anything particularly insightful about the lyrics? Even musically it isn't very interesting. Admittedly the score of SECRET GARDEN has not really taken me either.

Warlow is a great singer but I feel that he doesn't have much charisma in this role.

Thank you Roscoe for sharing with us your precious insider info and yet being cryptic about it from the start and then defensive later.

I love Lucy Simon and it's pretty, but it's very bland.

Those are perhaps the most trite lyrics I have ever heard in a song from a musical. How could any self respecting lyricist do that? Especially given that the character singing them is, of all things, a poet.

I saw it in La Jolla and "bland" is a very apt word to describe the entire show. I'm sure it's changed a bit since then...

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

That song is kind of 'eh'...not bad, but middle of the road. It's the kind of song that people would have gone crazy over in one of those 80's mega-musicals, but it really just slows the show down since they are both saying the same thing; there's no forward movement.

On a completely different note, I think "I love you" as a repeated lyric in a song is kind of a cliche at this point. I think songwriters are constantly looking for new and unique ways of saying "I love you" because it's been said so many times before in all different kinds of songs. A 'Newer' example of an "I love you" song would be "You're Timeless To Me" from Hairspray.

This song from Zhivago just ends up being old and tired lyrically.

Ugh, what awful lyrics. I agree with others that the song musically is pretty but very bland.

I'd kind of rather Warlow come to Broadway with Annie.

It's too bad she couldn't get Marsha Norman back on board as lyricist...

I'm looking forward to seeing it - but I too wish they'd dump the work and restart with Marsha Norman. She's da'bomb.

What new musical that has played anywhere in regional isn't coming to Broadway? It's become a tired joke.

I'm curious. When it plays on Broadway will all the actors still use British accents for the Russian characters?

^probably depends on who those actors are; but if it is not largely a British cast, then it would seem silly to have them use British accents.
