Does anyone have Stephanie J. Blocks CD, This Place I Know?

I got it and I love it! just wondering how many others did and what are your favorite songs? Mine would have to be Invention, and Sixteen Pounds.

Ah me too! I wish she sang Defying Gravity because she totally ROCKS at it! But it's also cool because no body else has it on their albums.

It's a great album. My favorites are I Will Always Love You, 15 Pounds, Smart Women, Invention and Something Beautiful.

You're correct that she didn't write any songs. However, she didn't just choose any songs. The theme of the album was to perform the song with its composer, whether they be singing a duet ("I Will Always Love You"), backup singing ("15 Pounds"), or playing an instrument to accompany Stephanie (the rest). She feels that it adds something to the song when the person who knows it best performs it. I think it was a brilliant idea.
