Unlikely - it would cost too much to put all that back in. The tour may return to the capital at some point, but probably in it's current 'proscenium arch' format (if it all).

It VERY nearly came back in after the last tour- casting was all set- Elaine Paige and Wayne sleep were coming back, a cast, crew and orchestra were set, and the Cambridge was all but booked. Then RUG and Clear Channel had some major disagreements over licensing issues, and it was all off.
If the new leg of the tour does well, its a possibility of it coming back in, but theatres are scarce, and it probably wont happen.

Indeed, the production company member who told me this had even got a flat on a 6 month lease, then the plug was pulled on the show.

Its correct - its was going in for 6 months pre Hairspray from March 2005, but it was pulled shortly followed by Hairspray too.
Wayne Sleep, Elaine Paige and Bonnie Langford were all signed up.
Could have been such a smash - im suprised Webber didnt put in in The Palace from March 2006, would have made more money than Whistle.
