Stagedoor Manor: But they're sold out for the summer.
There is also French Woods: dunno about their status for the summer.

where are you looking to go?
the best arts camp i've been part of is Centauri Summer Arts Camp. they have theatre, musical theatre, dance, visual art, acting for film, writing, photography...and a whole lot more. it's right by wellandport, ontario on the niagara escarpment, which is about two hours south-west-ish from toronto. the camp provides amazing staff and training, but more than that, the philosophy of the camp is so special. everyone is so supportive of you to just do your best. sounds really cliche, but it was honestly the best camp experience i've ever had. anyway, there's a lot more info at their website - http://www.centauri.on.ca/

Interlochen.
It's the most prestigious, and has the highest standards. They deliver SERIOUS training. And it's gorgeous. (I didn't go to camp there, but I did go to high school there.)

Interlochen's Camp is amazing. I went two summers for musical theatre, and it's the most thrilling program. I know Barrett Foa was there as a camper when I was there too (though he was in the division above me, being older) They do really spectacular productions in both the musical and just regular theatre programs, and there is always something to do.
I remember my first day there, we listened to some welcome speech where someone said "If you don't fall right to sleep at night, you haven't gotten the most out of your day at Interlochen." I NEVER had trouble going to sleep. It's exhausting, but worth every second.
Also, they have amazing shows come through as part of their arts series. I saw the tour of JCS (with Ted Neely and Carl Anderson) and also saw Carol Channing and Joel Gray perform together. It was wickedly good. (God, that was a bad injoke!)

Posted: 1/21/05 at 2:57pmInterlochen IS expensive, but I was fifteen and spent my whole school year working to get the money, (then did it again the next school year and summer) so I guess if you want it enough its possible. It took a lot of work, but it was worth every single penny.

I go to an amazing day camp called The Summer Musical Conservatory at Papermill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ. It is extremely compettive because it is filled by audition.

Does anyone know anything about the summer theatre program at BU?
I have found many programs I'm interested in but many of them go by age and not grade (I'm a 15 year old sophmore and will be until september) so I can't even apply.
