JLY is currently in "Jersey Boys" thru April. Does anyone know when in April.........early, middle or end? Does anyone think that he'll extend?
There is a rumor going around that the 22nd is his last show, but nothing has been confirmed.
Thanks for the update. That's also the same day for the final performance of "The Producers," too.

On Telecharge.com, there's nothing listed on "The Jersey Boys" section as to when JLY is performing through.

He performs at the night shows and the Sunday show. He doesn't do the Wednesday and Saturday matinees. Michael Longoria does the matinees.

I heard it was April 22nd, but I was talking to someone who heard he's supposed to be there till July. I don't know if it's true, but it'll definetly be in my conversation with him, next Saturday.

Great! Thanks so much for the updates and keep us posted as to what he says.

I have tickets for July 13...would love to see him again!
JLY told me he will be there beginning of April. The LA production runs May 25-July 29 so if he does the LA run like hopes to, he won't be there in July.

We saw him in October and enjoyed his performance immensely! I'm going back to NY in July and with my brother and sister and was able to get great seats. I hear Michael Longoria is excellent, so I know we won't be disappointed!
He left last Sunday.

Any official word yet as to when JLY is leaving "Jersey Boys?" Sunday, April 22nd seems to be the last mentioned day.

The rumors are still flying that he'll be doing the LA company of JB when it opens at The Ahmanson Theatre.

I've heard nothing official, but JLY has told me several times that he would love to JB in LA. I also heard that from an SF cast member.

If that happens, I guess Chris Jones will stick around for SF, since Erich said the 2NT Frankie is one this cast knows well.

I somehow all this, though.

They should get someone who can do 8 shows a week for LA.

Ha Ha Ha, CurtainPullDowner, Ha Ha Ha(sarcastically rolls eyes).

I think that if he is leaving on the 22nd or if he's extending, it would be announced in the next few weeks or so. I'm hoping to go rush JB on his "last" day.

JLY said his contract is up at the "end of april", and that he would love to go to LA to switch with christopher kale jones but nothing was official, and had no idea if CKJ would want to switch with him.

sounds like the producers are sort of giving him a hard time as well, insinuating that the show would continue to do well even if it ran without him. obviously i totally disagree with that but hopefully it's just a normal negotiating tactic and not what they really think.

OK, heres the deal. Johns contract is up april 22nd but nobody knows if he is leaving yet He is not doing the LA production the tour cast is going to be doing the La production. My guess he is if he is extending he is gonna wait till the 22nd to announce it just like he did in october which i think is stupid cause people are gonna spend tons of money to go see him and if he extends they wasted all that money.

There is NOTHING official anywhere. He is there atleast into April and that is all anyone can speculate on... Simple as that!
"people are gonna spend tons of money to go see him"
Now that's an eye roller.

This show is gonna do perfectly well without him as it has done in NYC as he has missed so many performances.

and it is not up to him or CKJ (whoever that is)
It is up to the producers.

I think that JLY is going to do what he thinks is best for everyone.
CurtainPullDowner, I think JPNP132 meant people would spend tons of money to go see his last show. A lot of people who may live out of the city would go to support him and to see their friends who like JLY.

It's not really his fault when he announces it or not. We knew that the other guys had extended way beforehand - it's not John's being mean or anything, it's when negotiations end.
