Dog Sees God Question
Dog Sees God Question#0
Posted: 1/19/06 at 1:02pmHey! I just tried to order tix to DOG SEES GOD at the Telecharge website for May and they were only selling through March. Anyone know if it and its amazing cast are still gonna be around May 13th? Also, has anyone seen it? Thoughts?
re: Dog Sees God Question#1
Posted: 1/19/06 at 1:16pmI think it only runs through March...maybe it will be extended, though.
re: Dog Sees God Question#2
Posted: 1/19/06 at 1:23pmSeveral of the cast members have previous commitments and have to leave by March -- some sooner (Ian Somerhalder leaves 1/31). I believe the producers plan on recasting and continuing to run the show as long as they can, though.

Posted: 1/19/06 at 1:23pmNo its an open end run, I think they only have tix avalable through merch, right now.

Posted: 1/19/06 at 2:34pmIan and Eliza are both leaving within the next few weeks. The rest of the cast dont know when they are leaving. I doubt Logan will still be in it come May, he was cast in Pig Farm which begins performances in June.

Sadness I was hoping to see Eliza's performance in March. Still will be a good show to see Monday night when I'm in town since not much else plays that night. We'll see though.
Cheers,
C.

re: Dog Sees God Question#8
Posted: 1/19/06 at 2:41pmI know that Keith Nobbs is also definitely leaving in March to begin filming a new tv series he'll be starring in for NBC.

Posted: 1/19/06 at 3:03pmDamn, was really hoping Eliza would hang around until April. I've been a big fan of her (and her looks) since she was slaying vampires with Buffy!

Posted: 1/19/06 at 4:47pmMargo, how recently did you hear that? As of last week he was in it indefinately. That's great, I'm so happy for him!

Yikes, Ian is leaving that soon?
Has anyone gone to a Friday 10pm performance? A few friends and I were planning to go next Friday, but it, and the next Friday, come up sold out. The 7pm performance isn't close to sold out (I can get 6 seats in row K), so I'm hoping this is just a Telecharge problem.
How has the rush been for this show?

Posted: 1/19/06 at 5:05pmMargo is right....according to Ian's website, he will be elaving 1/28. I wish I could be at his last performance, but sadly, I have a track meet.
re: Dog Sees God Question#13
Posted: 1/19/06 at 5:15pmIt's been long planned. Ian himself told me he was leaving at the end of January the last time I saw him a few weeks ago (I have a good friend in the cast and a few times I've joined him and the rest for drinks until the wee small hours).

Posted: 1/19/06 at 5:21pmI understand that it's long-planned. Honestly, I got into Lost between seeing Dog Sees God early in previews and now, and was really hoping to catch Ian in the show again now that I know of him a bit more. Guess I'll have to see how next week works out if these 10pms really are sold out.

No major nudity, as far as I can remember (I saw the show over a month ago). There is a bit of simulated sex, though.
The play is very good. The cast is really superb.

Posted: 1/29/06 at 10:19amAny word on replacements? I did see the show early this week, and both Kelli Garner and Eliza were out. I was wondering if Melissa Picarello, who went on for Van's sister and also played the role in the Fringe, was going to be coming in for Eliza permanently, or if they just threw her in because Karen Diconcetto was already playing Tricia that night.
re: Dog Sees God Question#19
Posted: 1/29/06 at 10:42amHow was Kelly's understudy? I have seen the show 4 times and cannot imagine anybody else playing Tricia so perfectly.

"Is there nudity in Dog Sees God?"
Ian was shirtless, but now he's gone.

DAMN!
I need some shirtless Ian.
Now he's gone.
By the way, Ian was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards tonight. He got up on stage with the cast of LOST when they won for Best Ensemble.
