I know that Dolly is there a lot, does anyone know what door she comes out of after the show? I've heard people talk about "the other side" (not the stage door), anyone with some info?
thanks!
If she goes out the other door it's because she doesn't want to sign.
If your looking at the doors that you go through to enter the theatre she leaves to the right of that. She won't sign autographs though.
She usually gets a Hot Dog from John on 46th & Bway.
If she wants to greet fans and sign she will come out the Stage Door.
Otherwise, you should leave her alone.
I wonder why she is so evasive. My guess is she under a lot of stress, although now that the show is a hit I have to wonder if most of her original jitters are now gone. I am just thinking out loud. Her evasiveness surprises me because I have heard stories of her being just a total doll when greeting fans.

Maybe she doesn't want to take away from the actors in the show.
^ Very good point. I wonder if it would be fruitless to mail her anything in the hopes of getting it mailed back c/o the theater. I would love her to sign my original 9 to 5 DVD. I've loved that movie ever since I was 10 - yet, truthfully, have no desire to see the musical. I can't see any other Judy, Violet and Doralee but Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton.

don't worry y'all. i'm not going to jump her, it'd just be a thrill to see her in person. i'd probably be too excited to even ask for an autograph.
Apparently, Dolly Parton is one of the toughest autographs to get! But I agree, if she comes out the stagedoor, great; if not, let her be since she clearly doesn't want to sign.
Watch the documantry For the love of Dolly, and you will understand why she goes out of a different door
