Posted: 11/20/05 at 10:07amI was wondering if you think that Donny Osmond should get another shot at broadway (he did when he was younger but the show closed after only one performance)? I was listening to my JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT video sountrack and I started thinking how good of a voice he really has. Also, his broadway cd THIS IS THE MOMENT is superb. So, what do you think? Should he get another chance?

Posted: 11/20/05 at 10:19amIt couldn't hurt! I can't see him being in any of the shows out right now, but I saw him three times as Joseph and was totally in love with him when I was younger, which was pretty illegal (it still is). He does have an amazing voice, though.

I saw him do Joseph in Toronto and have the cast recording. He is wonderful. I've been a fan for decades (yes...I'm THAT old.)
He would do great on Broadway--even if only in a limited run!

Posted: 11/20/05 at 9:17pmI picked up Donny Osmond's autobiography at Borders when it was marked down to $1. It's a very intelligent piece of writing and Donny is quite honest about the image he has and the emotional problems he's had. I recommend it if you can find it. He's a dedicated performer.

Posted: 11/21/05 at 2:41pmDonny Osmond is a VERY talented man, I wish he would do more on Broadway - absolutely, Too bad he's not doing Billy Flynn right now since Huey cannot sing nor act it well (I LOVE YA HUEY BUT STICK TO YOUR OWN MUSIC!) And yes, Donny has a lovely bod to show off, Perhaps he will join this new mounting of "The Full Monty", well, I can dream, can't I, LOL! (You know, He would sound great singing "Breeze off the River"!!!)

Guess what? My friend's cousin is next door neighbors to Donny Osmond! (lol) I have seen his house!!! My friend has babysat his children!!!
and yes... he is an awesome performer! I will love his Joseph forever!
his Christmas CD is fairly good too btw... i love his "Grown Up Christmas List" and "Mary Did You Know" ...go hear them this Xmas!
