Yea, Yea, Yea I know another Rent/Wicked/Idina thread.
Has anyone seen it recently? Is the show still doing well? Also does Idina sign after evening shows? (Yes Ive read all the threads about the teens and girls yelling and crying and chasing her car, but recently has she been signing after the show or is she escorted right into her car?) Thanks
I just saw the evening performance on November 23. The show was close to full. The concept of the show is very different but both my boyfriend and I really liked it. LaChuisa is so amazingly talented and his lyrics are beautiful. The entire cast was outstanding, including Idina. She was able to belt a little bit. After the show, everyone came out except for Idina. She must have slipped out another door because the staff person at the Public announced the dressing rooms were empty and that they would be closing the lobby. I spoke to Marc Kudisch for a minute -- he was extremely nice and hung out for awhile in the lobby. Aaron Lohr, Henry Stram and Mary Testa also hung out in the lobby until they started closing it down.
I only saw a few teen girls hanging out waiting for Idina -- one was extremely annoying wearing a Wicked shirt and saying repeatedly that Idina was her "inspiration."
thanks WickedOne.
I bought the tickets to see the show (although Idina is always a nice touch). I cant wait to see it weather or not she comes out.
I've never seen her come out, but i've meet a couple of people who said she's come out and talked for a few moments with them, lucky them. I geuss the giggley teenager thing is happening more these days.
I can kind of understand why she didn't come out being the night before Thanksgiving and also the giggly teenage thing. The public theater is pretty easy to sneak out of since it is big.
side note: jeremykushnier1fan, I love that line from the movie in your signature. It cracks me up every time -- that and Mark's don't get your ass kicked this time.
