i'm sure they switch it up nightly just to have fun. i'm sure occasionally chris fitzgerald slips into the wig, and has his moment as Dorothy, too.
on a side note: you're uber-cute, newsie.
awh, my lil' OLD headshot.. thanks. heh. i totally doubt what you said, but i love you for writing back

seriously, if i know Joe and Steve...I'm sure they enticed more than one ensemble member to sign on through saying they would be Dorothy so I bet it's a shared part.
i dont know it for a fact but...its a gut instinct. i'll ask someone and find out....im interested now to find out.
however that cast plays on stage like no other cast on bway so, i wouldnt doubt if one of the dudes has done dorothy on occasion.
I think thats the goofiest thing I've ever heard. Are you in theatre as a profession? I'm sure it isnt a different person every time.

Actually, I could see it as one of those things that keeps a company fresh. It's a walk-on (or, in this case, -off) with no lines and no real presence. Putting it up for random selection every night could be a cool thing for the company.

*picturing robb sapp in a dorothy get-up and laughing hysterically*
It's actually the same projection every night. I believe the silouhette is of Melissa Fahn though.(Originally there was a scene with Dorothy actually on-stage but they cut it. It is to my understanding the Melissa ws going to play Dorothy so they gave her the role of Doroty's shadow!!) Although Sean McCort in Dorothy costume is pretty funny!!
do you have to be equity for that???
oh to be a shadow on a broadway stage!!
Same as the INTO THE WOODS revival.
Its a projected silouhette, not an actor every night.
