From Broadway.com:
"Dracula, The Musical, starring Tom Hewitt and Melissa Errico, has changed its Broadway dates again. The show will now begin performances at the Belasco Theatre on July 26, a week later than previously announced. Opening night is still set for August 16.
Dracula features music by Frank Wildhorn and book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. The show, based on Bram Stoker's classic novel, tells of Dracula's lust for new blood and the small band of mortal men and women who must face his overwhelming seduction and mesmerizing supernatural powers."

Jarico and I were only going to be in town through the 19th. We already purchased tickets, so we better get a refund, but it really pisses me off!!!

Oh I am so sorry for you on that, noooooooooooooo
I saw some clips from La Jolla Playhouse production, and it looks a little bit awful...
What "clips"?
Sorry, Matt, that must have been awful especially when you were coming in for a certain week. Thank God, I live close. I plan on going in the city to get tickets for Dracula within the next few weeks. I can get them for you if you want. Just a thought.
I can't wait to see it.!!!!!!!!
I heard the demo cd of the show, recorded when they played the show in lajolla... and I didn't like it at all... did anybody knows if wildhorn have rewritten the show?
Yes. There are a number of new songs in the Broadway production.

Why is it delayed. Is it fully cast yet?
Thanks BroadwayLady, but I had already changed our dates once so that we could attend the show, but I can't change them again. I was actually looking forward to Dracula the most because it was going to be something I hadn't heard or seen much about. It would be totally new and fresh. If it's great, then I would be thrilled I saw it. If it's a bomb, I would still be thrilled that I was one of the few to see it. I still cherish my viewing of Thou Shalt Not. You can learn a lot from watching a bad show.
Yes, it's fully cast. Heard that it's a complicated tech, and they want to take their time with it.
That's a bummer MM. I hope you can get refunded. I'll be seeing this one come September.
I purchased tix once through Ticketmaster and the show did not open when scheduled. I did not have any trouble getting a refund. In fact, they sent me instructions via email on how to get my money back.

Yes, I heard the delay is just for technical reasons related to the flying sequence(s). I had no problem in exchanging my 7/19 ticket for the 26th.
Glad to hear that folks aren't having many problems w/ exchanging their tickets.
I had discounted tickets for the 23rd of July but I will not be able to exchange them because I leave to come back home on the 25th! Oh well I will just have to find something else to see on Friday night. Maybe Hairspray which I've never seen or Caroline which seems interesting. There's always something I haven't seen since I usually only get to New York two times a year if I'm lucky.

Thanks for the heads up on this guys ! We had tix for July 23rd, which I already received in the mail. Called Telecharge and I have to mail them back for refund. Went on-line, and got the same exact seats for August 6th.
