I didn't realize Les Ephermeres would be eligible because it played only in the Lincoln Center Festival. I loved it; one of the best things I've seen all season.

I tallied the Musical votes. Looks like there was a tie between Memphis and American Idiot with Sondheim on Sondheim in a close second.

That's not how my tally comes up. On the first ballot, 'Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson' led with 5 votes, followed by 'Scottsboro Boys' (3) and 'Memphis' (2), and just 1 for 'American Idiot.' On the third ballot, 'Bloody Bloody' and 'Scottsboro' tied with 8 votes overall, followed by 'Memphis' with 6. Right behind with 5 were 'American Idiot,' 'Million Dollar Quartet' and 'Yank!' With 4 votes were 'Come Fly Away' and 'Coraline,' and 'Sondheim on Sondheim' trailed with only 3 votes overall.

I still don't understand your math. 'Memphis' got 2 votes on the first ballot, but 'American Idiot' got only 1. That's not a tie. But 'AI' did tie with 'Sondheim on Sondheim' and 'Come Fly Away,' the other Broadway shows with 1 vote. Nor did 'Memphis' tie with 'American Idiot' on the third ballot; it edged out the Green Day musical by one vote.
