Posted: 12/18/04 at 1:07amAwhile ago, I read that they were re-releasing the original cast recording with the songs that were edited put back in. I believe it was to be released in March of 2004. Does anyone know anymore on this?

"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Posted: 12/18/04 at 1:15amIt was announced that it would be re-released with extra material but later the studio said that the announcement about extra material was a mistake. There apparently is no extra material from the OCR sessions.

I was so excited then I kept reading 
I'm soooooooooooooooo upset that they didn't at least capture "It's All Over"

Posted: 12/18/04 at 10:47pmIf you look hard enough, you can find the OBC doing the show live, but people are very protective of it (as they should be). There's also a few different recordings of the show live out there that have stuff that was in the early run of the show but was changed since for tours and revivals and is no longer available when you purchase the show from Tams-Witmark. For example, in "I Am Changing," there is an uptempo section that was cut that is HOT. It's too bad they cut it.

Posted: 12/25/04 at 3:53pmi didn't care for audra as "deena" in the concert recording. not because i think she can't sing because that woman has a set of pipes on her. her voice was just inappropriate for the "deena" character.
