Posted: 4/28/11 at 9:47amI was searching around to look for developing films Geoffery Rush is attatched to, and a few articles came up about plans for Rush to star as Man in Chair in a big screen adaptation. Does anyone know if this is being taken any further than just speculation? I can't really see this working on-screen...

I'm a bout 2 degree's of separation from some of the creative team and while there is discusion, there have been no contracts or schedules devised.
Agree it doesn't look the most likely candidate but ....

Posted: 4/28/11 at 5:10pmThere are several threads on this. He didn't sign on to play MIC or anything, he just said if a movie were to be made, he'd love to play Man again. I think it could work on film, but only if it drastically changed the POV storytelling. It would probably end up being something reminiscent of the actual show. Much like Cabaret or Rent.
