The entire plot to Bright Lights, Big City revolves around drugs.


Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, RENT, Mamma Mia!, Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, Evita (with Julia Murney), Hairspray (with Paul Vogt), Peter and the Starcatchers (with Christian Borle), Lion King, Altar Boyz, Legally Blonde (with Lauren Zackrin).

"Jimmy ODs in Dreamgirls, IIRC."

In the original version of Dreamgirls, there's no real mention of drugs IIRC but yes, he ODs in the movie version.

I thought she was green because they were from different worlds. The elixir is just an intoxicant.

Just to clear things up, in American Idiot the drugs Johnny uses doesn't gain the admiration of the girl. They were already "together" and he convinces her to try heroin and while she's reluctant at first, she gives in because he tells her to trust him. Then whatever Piragua Guy2 said after that is true.
