Hey there all,

I used the search feature amply to see if I could find some suggestions but only came across a few, so I'm wondering if some veterans could lend me their wisdom and knowledge. I'm looking for a good duet for an Alto (who can Belt to an F) and a higher Baritone. Whether it be a serious or comedy duet it does not matter (I'd love to hear all suggestions), I'm just looking for a showstopping, impactful duet.

Any insights and suggestions would be most appreciated!
Thanks so much-

Suddenly Seyour would be great. Its written to have backup singers, but you don't need them too much, I don't think

'Written in the Stars' from Aida
'Elaborate Lives' from Aida
'Another Day' from Rent (although that one you DO need backup...)
'I'll Cover You' from Rent (Alto sing Angel's part)
'Tango: Maureen' from Rent (although, maybe not appropriate...)
'That Face' from The Producers (although maybe for a tenor)
'Sue Me' from Guys and Dolls
'Almost Paradise' from Footloose (again, maybe tenor)
'As Long as You're Mine' from Wicked (tenor again...)
'My New Philosophy' from ...Charlie Brown (maybe soprano)

I don't know the music, but judging by the the performers involved, how about something from The Last Five Years?

Sorry if the songs are actually tenor or soprano, I'm not too sure on ranges.

"Professional Showbusiness Comedy" from My Favorite Year...it's an extremely character song and it features Alice Miller, the alto. It is a showstopper, though.

Perfectly Marvelous from Cabaret is good for a mezzo/alto and a baritone
