Hey all,
I am a regular poster (this is not my normal username).
I am non-equity and am thinking about going to the ECC for Spring Awakening. It says that 10am is for girls and 2pm is for guys. For anyone that has gone to a SA audition or an audition separated like this before, do you know if guys should plan to get there to sign up on the "non-eq list" before 10am or before 2pm? Are there two lists (one for girls and one for guys)?
Thanks!
P.S. I know it's not def. that I am gonna be seen and I need to get there early... You don't need to tell me all that. I just don't want to wake-up at the crack of dawn to be told that the list for guys is being posted at 1 -or- to go in the afternoon and find out the list was posted in the morning.

Almost all Equity chorus calls are run this way.
If the audition is packed, you most likely will not get in. If it's dead--chances are better. And like all auditions, you never know which it's going to be to know if you should get there butt early or not. Just part of the game.

I'm not sure how non-Eq works, but for a regular ECC, the monitor starts calling the names & handing out cards a half-hour before the call -- that would be 1:30 for the guys. After those guys get their cards, there's a separate line for the guys that aren't on the list. They're given cards in the order of their line.
You might want to show up during the women's call just to check, then come back later.
I've gone to the ECC for SA multiple times, as an Equity member, but at the calls I've attended they have always seen the non-Equity people. There never seems to be any crowd at these AEA SA calls for some reason. Probably because they are looking for such specific types (uber young looking). I think you'll be seen if you show up about half an hour before your gender starts up.
