ECLIPSED question for those who have seen the show (SPOILERS)

This board has helped me several times and I appreciate it. Now I'm asking for help again. We are planning to see Eclipsed. I have sensitive ears and from what I understand the show has gun shots in it. I asked this on another thread and bwayphreak234 mentioned that they aren't that startling (thanks!!!), but still I need some peace of mind. For those who have seen the show: do they fire guns on stage or are the shots recorded? do you know it's coming? Does anyone remember how many times there are gunshots in the show...and you can spoil, when? I know this might strike some folks as ridiculous, but seriously, if there's a loud gun effect (blank, cap), it really kills my ears. Thanks so much in advance for your patience and your answers!!!

I saw the show last night, so I'm able to recall the number of gunshots with a clear memory. One gunshot is made onstage by Lupita's character towards the end of Act I, then she makes another one at the top of Act II with 'background' gunshots (which are not loud at all). Then, there are more background gunshots in the final scene of Act II. The two gunshots that are made onstage can be quite loud and startling if you are not expecting it, but the background gunshots are not loud at all and indicate 'distance' in the play, suggesting that they are 'near' the violence but are not in the middle of it.

Act I gunshot: Lupita's character is being coerced into shooting a firearm by 'Wife #2'. It's fairly predictable the way it's set up, and the firearm is pointed at the audience when it is fired.

Act II gunshot: Again, Lupita's character is being coerced into shooting an 'enemy' in the distance and she hesitatingly takes the shot, this time pointing the firearm at stage left.
