Finally picked up the cast recording of Elegies and was relieved to find "Dear Reader" and that song about a chicken or a chicken-man or something omitted. But why then did they include "My Dogs"? It seems with the other two more ridiculous songs cut from the recording, this song sounds twice as silly. Just my opinion.
That aside, I loved the stage production and I'm grateful it was preserved on CD. Just listening to it makes me teary - especially "Dwight Ave, Natick, Mass."
Anyone else have this disc on repeat? It's gorgeous.
