Just wanted to let you guys know... talked to Saycon online for a few minutes, and she told me she is going on all weekend for Eden, both shows tomorrow and the show on Sunday. This was a pre-planned absence that she's known about for weeks... she said Eden has a prior engagement and is traveling somewhere... so for those of you who are going this weekend, you get the chance to see the great Saycon!
Btw, she said she didn't get to warm up at all when she went on mid-show for Shoshana at the Saturday mat, so I'm guessing if she didn't sound up to par that's why...
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Posted: 1/13/06 at 10:34pmNo andrew, she hadn't. She didn't expect to be going on, and it was that last minute... they literally threw her in costume and make-up moments before Shoshana actually left, and that was it.

awww..i feel bad for her. its hard enough to sing that stuff when you're warmed up! i am sure she wasn't expecting to have to go on since i am sure shoshana really didn't want to miss her last shows. i bet saycon was great anyway.
