Is this the exact same presentation that is on the dvd? Or is there anything different?

re: Elaine Stritch At Liberty

Actually, the film that's playing at the Tribeca Film Festival this weekend and debuting on HBO on May 29th, is not simply the "Elaine Stritch At Liberty" that came out on DVD last year, but a separate documentary that intermixes footage from the show with behind-the-scenes footage as well as interviews and archival film of Stritch in her prime. Should be amazing -- I saw the show twice at the Public (I was sitting a few seats way from Stephen Sondheim the first time) and twice on Broadway, so I can't wait to see all the new material that's in this documentary.

I saw the show on Valentines Day - the night that she had her major Hypoglycemic attack - the curtain was held for at least 20 minutes -but barely anyone left the theatre (PS - Shirley Maclaine was there looking beautiful as ever)- we were all so excited to see Stritch do her thing - and the show was out-of-this-world amazing - she's got to be one of the all time best storytellers, and can still belt out a tune with the best of them - I've not been that entertained since - well with the exception of Assassins - I own Her DVD and really love revisiting the material.
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" I was DRAGGED to this and...

2 and a half hours later, I walked away thinking that this was one of the five most fantastic nights I had ever spent in a theatre...

...and you know me, I hate everything!

Voice - that IS saying a lot!LOL....I didn't exactly know what to expect - but was mesmerized. When she sang "Something Good" from The Sound of Music, I was in tears. She is a consumate performer.

Her impersonation of Judy Garland (one line) is dead-on amazing...I love huh!

I've been a fan of hers ever since I first heard "The Ladies Who Lunch" at 6 years old. I was fortunate enough to see her here in Los Angeles and it was the most amazing show I've ever witnessed. She is a wonderful storyteller, the Merman stuff alone had us all crying with laughter. So glad to see she is getting her due.
