Very cool. MTW is one of the last surviving musical theatre companies in LA. So many other companies have folded over the years. I've been fortunate enough to have performed in a number of their musicals over the years, going back to when they were originally in La Mirada.

Yes, "Billy" and "Dreamgirls" were produced by McCoy-Rigby, the resident production company of The La Mirada Theatre. Back in the day, there were quite a few different production companies that played at the theatre. The city of La Mirada owns the theatre, and they kicked out all of the companies when they brought in McCoy-Rigby to run it. Luckily, MTW was able to relocate to The Carpenter Center in Long Beach, and they have been there ever since.
When I did my first shows with them in La Mirada it was still called Whittier/La Mirada Civic Light Opera.
It's great that they doing a new musical such as "Elf."

Can't believe it's been 20 years since they relocated to the Carpenter Center. I hope to see MTW's productions of Guys and Dolls & Nice Work if You Can Get It next.

I do want to see "Nice Work" there. Love that show.
I did "Barnum," "Pajama Game," "Brigadoon" and "Me & My Girl" there. Then at LB I did "Mame" and one of their Christmas concerts. Great times and great memories!
