Just wanted to share that last night I got the student rate ticket for Movin Out and was VERY pleasently suprised when I was lead to my seat in the FIRST ROW. One of the best experiences I have ever had in a theater!!! HOLY CRAP I saw this show last summer and was like umm ya cool dancing and all but not really invested in this AT ALL. What a difference being able to see their facial expressions is!!!
From the lack of board coverage it seems like this show is lacking a solid fan base...any one else on here a closeted (or uncloseted) movin' out lover? Particularly of the stunning technical, sharp, rivetingly sexy dancing of Elizabeth Parkinson!?! (let me just say WOW to her...freakin amazing).

The show is simply breath taking. The first time I saw it I was just amazed at how incredible all of the dancers were.

Parkinson was a colleague of mine when she was one of the most beautiful dancers in The Joffrey Ballet.
Her dancing has only become stronger since she left the ballet world for work with Twyla.

Laurie and Rasta are stunning dancers! I so enjoyed seeing both of them. Meeting them and getting autographs was pretty sweet too!
I am a dancer! In fact, when Movin' Out came to Atlanta, Sean Maurice Kelly, the dance captain of the tour, came to my school and taught dance for a day! It remains the best dance class I've ever taken.

Movin' Out is an amazing show. im obsessed with it. I love it! As a dancer, I can appreciate how hard the cast works to perform this wonderful show 8 times a week. It blows my mind how talented these dancers are! And they are the nicest people! I've met the cast after the show each time ive seen it, and they are so appreciative and so sweet! and Elizabeth Parkinson...she is my hero! i love her! the last time i saw Movin' Out i saw her husband, Scott Wise, outside the theater before the show, and my mom and I started talking to him. I told him how much i love the show and that Elizabeth was my idol, and he ended up taking me inside and bringing me onto the stage where Elizabeth was warming up! it was amazing..i was so excited i could barely talk to her! she signed a playbill for me and took pictures with me on the stage...she's so nice!! yea so that was the most amazing 5 minutes of my life.
anyway, im the most obvious Movin' Out fan you could ever meet, im constantly sporting some type of Movin' Out gear, and im ALWAYS talking about it. and i cant wait till i see it again at the end of the month! ahh.
and i must point out that John Selya is incredible. his dancing is amazing! and he is extremely nice to all his fans. and i'm marrying him.
and in the spirit of Movin' Out, i want to say Happy Birthday Twyla Tharp!

Coming to NYC in two weeks: what's the one show I'm repeat viewing? You got it!
Had the chance to see anything, and am seeing Bee, Pillowman, and DRS, but aboe all else, have to see Movin' Out.
STUNNING, AMAZING, ARTISTICALLY AUDACIOUS, MOVING, ELECTRIFYING.
My wife is a dancer (ballet); she cried twice during the show: once at the end of act 1 with the return of the flag; the second time during Shameless, just because it was so damn good.
The cast deserves huge praise.

I saw the show again this weekend- a fairly new piano man, I think- Henry Haitt, did quite well, (though struggling a little at the lower end of the range), but still a hot show...
And needless to say, is there a better dancer on Broadway than Elizabeth Parkinson?
I've yet to see her equal in a Broadway show.
