My school has free tickets up for grabs. I know it's early, but someone who is better informed than I needs to lend me their assistance. Apparently the person in charge of this says that the tickets probably aren't that great (but she's not sure) so we're trying to decide what to go for. My friend wants to be able to see reasonably well.... so, assuming that these seats are somewhere in the mezz. are we better off with Hairspray, Avenue Q or Movin' Out? We may not be able to get Avenue Q (the theatre's small, so can't you see decently from up there?), I know that the the last rows of Hairspray aren't too great, and that you can see pretty well from the mezzanine of Movin' Out.
So... if anybody's awake yet... help meeeeeee!
Thanks! <3
"Ave Q" theatre is not so great and I think one needs to be close to enjoy "AVE Q." If you know all the lyrics already you'll be fine. :)
"Hairspray" is a fun easy show to watch from everywhere in the house. It's a huge spectacle.
I hope this is of help to you.
I wish now I had taken the chance to see Aida when I could have. I hadn't been into it, other then knowing it as "The other musical Adam Pascal was in the OBC..."
But of course, now that it has closed I have listened to the music and I love it, and theres no current tour for me to see!
I need to start taking chances when they arrise!

The second time I saw "Q" I was sitting in the last row of the mezz and had no more trouble hearing or seeing as when I saw it Off-Broadway in a much smaller house.
Hairspray, I've seen several times Standing Room, which is in the back of the orchestra, and never missed a thing.
