I remember most of the best line laughs went to Edward Hibbert, especially on his exit lines.
Rath, I'm glad the accent is better. i saw the Wed. matinee. And like someone said, it was weird not hearing him talk normally. I def. need to see the show again.
I know the cast is recording the cast recording on the 26th, but when do you think it will become availible to buy?

The problem with Curtains is that it's unofficially being advertised as the "last" original Kander and Ebb show when in fact it's just not as good as their other stuff. If Ebb were still around I have a feeling the show would have gotten even more revisions then whatever Holmes did to the script and score. It just isn't the same... and it feels that way. There were lots of songs and moments that I thoroughly enjoyed but I wasn't amazed. I wish the cast the best and hope that it runs for a long time.
On the subject of David vs. Raul, I think the Tony could go to either of them and I would be thrilled to pieces. Pierce just makes you smile with his "can you believe I'm headlining a musical" boyish aww shucksness and Raul (while maybe not giving the performance of his career) is pretty damn good as the put-upon Bobby. Both deserve any awards they get this season. With these two there is finally something to talk about besides who will be pitted against La Ebersole for Best Actress.
