Emma Stone on "vocal rest" for Cabaret

From the sounds of it she hasn't had her voice since at least Thursday (she had to do her USA Today interview via email)

At least she is having fun, she was out with Alan Cumming to see Queen of the Night with Alan Cumming tonight.

Being on vocal rest doesn't mean being out of the show. If you read the article, she very clearly states that she is still performing. Being on vocal rest means only singing or speaking when on stage, and it's a lot more common than most people realize.
