Posted: 12/26/07 at 8:02pmNow that the new year is approaching, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Equus to Broadway. Does anyone know any way of finding out when tickets will go on sale? I have a feeling this will be a hot ticket and don't want to end up in the rafters. I'm on the usual lists for ticket offers, but I'd like to get a jump on them if possible.

I'm sure there will be a big announcement when tickets go on sale, and there will undoubtedly be a pre-sale as well.
You'll certainly hear about it before it happens, as they'll want to publicize this, since as you said, it will be a hot ticket.

Posted: 12/26/07 at 8:18pmIt doesn't start performances until September so it'll be at LEAST 6 months before tickets go on sale. And remember that it's rare for any non-musical play to totally sell out. Plenty of great seats will be available, even despite the Harry Potter contingent.

Posted: 1/5/08 at 10:39amThanks for the reassurances. I just fear fighting both the Potter fans and the Broadway fans for this. Seems that whenever I try to get a single ticket I'm fine, but when I go for pairs I'm always a little too late for the really good seats, so I'm trying to get a jump on the competition.

I had no trouble getting tickets in London. I literally went online a week before I was going and got excellent seats-first row, center, front mezz. Forgot what row it overhung (no pun intended) but the seats were excellent.

Posted: 1/5/08 at 12:00pmWow, those ARE excellent seats. I often find front-row mezz to be better than orchestra because you really see everything. But what's the deal with the stage seats I keep hearing about? Were those on sale to the public?
