Wanna Be A Foster, I'm aware no official announcement was made until today. The reason I'm shocked has nothing to do with the "rumors" people may have believed after reading whatever has been posted here.
The cast has been extremely open about the large turnover impending the day of the Tonys, talking about it quite openly both while collecting money for BC/EFA and at the stage door (I believe Amy Morton even inserted it into the donor speech at curtain call one evening about two months ago to push sales of the OBC signed posters and Playbills,) as well as in the press (Rondi Reed spoke quite in-depthly in features on Broadway.com and Playbill.com recently about how shocked people have been upon hearing she's leaving the show to go back to the Chicago company of WICKED out of an obligation of loyalty she feels to those producers for letting her out and pushing her to do AUGUST... in the first place, while Amy Morton has spoken about getting out of a Steppenwolf commitment to extend her stay with the show in the wake of so many original castmembers departing.)
I didn't mean to be snide or critical in the least. I was just expressing surprise that alot of people weren't aware of something many people in the show weren't making any effort to keep secret.

If you want to see the original cast again, you'll have to make the trip to London after Thanksgiving. They'll be at the National for a very limited engagement.
