Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts

I'm really looking at this school, (I'm currently a rising high school senior) but I have some questions.

1. What is the theatre program like? Do you have to audition? And if so, what is the audition?

2. The Princeton Review says "it's overrun with rabid hipsters" and "everyone fits in as long as they aren't too mainstream".... How true is this? I'm guess I'm considered the more "offbeat" kid at my school, but I also attend a small private school in the deep south.

3. The Princeton Review also says the ratio of boys to girls is 31/69.... Is this really noticeable?

4. I've also read that no one really lives in dorms, though they have them (and that they are really bad). How true is this? There's no way I could afford an apartment in New York on top of everything else.

5. How does it compare to Pace or Marymount Manhattan?

If there's any other information anyone wants to give about how hard it is to get in, what to do to get in, or really anything please let me know! Thanks!

I go to Marymount Manhattan and personally love it. It's small, which has been the major turn off for any students who have transferred or claim to hate it. But I'm very happy with my choice to go there. I'm a BFA Acting major and I love the program. Also, the dorms are great.
