So that's why I was surrounded by Jersey plates on my way back into the city through the Lincoln Tunnel last night at around 6pm. And some moron at the Port Authority decided to have only 1 tunnel going into the city, and 2 tunnels going out. I'm glad for Broadway (and the NYC economy) but I cannot wait until the holidays are over and all the f*cking tourists go home.
Jan & Feb (except for Valentine's Day) are the slowest months for Broadway. You can usually find discounts for all but the most popular shows, and rushes/lotteries are a lot less crowded. I plan to use those months to catch up on a few new shows that I want to see.

Jan is not slow until the 3rd & 4th weeks after colleges go back. The first two weeks of Jan are very busy.
The Wicked matinee lotto had more people then I had ever seen there before. The line doubled around under the Gershwin and then 1/2 way down 51st.
