Did anyone see this yet? I saw it last night and had problems with it, but did find things i liked. I found it throwing everything in and seeing what stuck.
There are several visual gags, including one with a plant that had me laughing well after the show was over last night.
The show runs 1:15 with no intermission and the problem is it occasionally feels long. The first 30 minutes are very strong. There's a Norman conquests-esque moment where Martha goes to the kitchen with Honey, and we don't find out what happens in there till 30 minutes later.
The problem is that the playwright isn't content with spoofing Virginia Woolf so the scope goes a bit too broad for my tastes. We get send ups of Tennessee Williams plays, lots of Woody Allen references (??)and a final 20 minutes or so with a new character that really baffled me.
Overall a mixed evening, but a somewhat entertaining one.
