F B "Summer Shock"- 7/10

Just got back from "Forbidden Broadway- Summer shock"... VERY FUNNY !!! There are parts that drag a bit, and probably need some tightening, but all in all, excellent show. Dont want to give away any of the jokes, but the "Wicked" skit is very funny !
The "Q" skit is okay... not great, just okay. They could work on it a bit. The Hugh Jackman skit is hysterical !!!

Unless I closed my eyes a bit, I did not see an "Asssassins" skit, which was mentioned in the promo. They do refer to it, but dont do a skit. Funniest parts in my opinion were the "Les Mis" spoof, the "Lion King", and the Sarah Brightman spoof almost left me crying !! Definitely worth a trip !!

They have a Harvey number, but not that one. They do a skit with Harvey, Hugh, and MJW, at the 2004 Tonys. Its a hoot !!

The "Les Mis" part had us rolling !! Heck, the posters that are all over the theater are enough to make you laugh !!

That number has grown on me.
The Miz number is great but i loved the other version. When it was about to close Gerard had a number called 4 months more which went down to two months more, two days more etc.
That number was even stronger. But when they crawl at the end of that number it makes me howl. My date said I was dancing in my seat with them.
I love every number.
The Can't Stop My Seat number kills me because Michael has his Harvey down. He talks to the audience and I talk back.
I say yay Edna and he says "Thank you with a huge throaty voice."
When I took my best friend to see it she loved that.
She always jokes that I should be part of the show.

I love Donna in that and her understudy!

There has never been a show that I loved quite like Forbidden Broadway. It is my heart. I don't think I have ever loved anything as much, not even men.

I hope they will. I wish they would record the last edition with the Harvey number.
The show has a healing effect and if you get it the laughter can be contagious.

Yes, Corine... the one with the sugar !! That was hysterical !!

Yes, the Bernadette number is still in. We were cracking up during the Les Miz scene when they kept reaching for the mic while going around in circles !!!

They didnt really spoof Idina.. they spoofed the show. Without giving away specifics of the exact jokes, they did "Popular", and tied it in to the Idina's Tony Award, and then went into "Defying Gravity"... I guess that is where they spoofed Idina and her "high notes"...LOL

It is called Defying Chenoweth.
I loved it. The Wicked number was very Popular with me.
The Avenue Q number was funny but not tight enough.
The new woman has Cheno down and it was hysterical.
