I saw another posting about Fame somewhere on here, but I figured it would be easier to just create a new subject.
I beleieve the other posting said something about Fame touring but actually it's going to be opening in November, I don't remember if it's on or off Broadway but it's definately in NYC.
Personally, I have never seen the movie but I've heard nothing but good things about the show and can't wait to see it. They should have a website up soon, I'll post up a link if I hear anything more about it.

I thought it was on 42nd Street? Or, at least, that's what I last read.

Fame is now in its 4th London year so it must be doing something right. It outlasted My Fair Lady and Ragtime. It also constantly tours the UK, probably in its eighth or ninth national tour.

Personally, I've seen the show and I think it's excellent.

Yeah FAME is DEFINTILY touring considering I saw it here at Ball State University last Wednesday. I really am not a fan of the show, but there is some good music and some REALLY talented people in the cast. The Serena blew my mind! She was incredible!

That was me who posted earlier. I performed at a show choir competition at Ball State! The reason I asked is because it will be in Cleveland for 2 shows in November. I just wanted more details.

Fame will be starting a national tour. The off-Broadway cast will be recording an album, due to be released on Nov.18th.

Excellent! I would love to get that recording! I have the one with Jenn and Gavin, but would love to hear a new cast.

Fame will be an off-broadway show?

GAH! I have three shows to see in the weekend I'm down. A Friday night (already taken by Wicked), Sat Matinee and Sat night. There are too many things I want to see! Gypsy, Nine, Little Shop, Fame, Cabaret, (just to see how Adam does)...Argh!
