FIRST WIVES CLUB Cast?

The newest casting notice for THE FIRST WIVES CLUB states that the roles of Annie and Brenda have been cast for the out of town run in San Diego, as has the track that will include all of the girlfriends (they are still searching for Elise and the three husbands.)

I assume Carolee Carmello is continuing on as Annie, but any word on who was cast as Brenda? Did they get Megan Mullally as hoped?

I'm surprised they are still searching for Elise as I thought LaChanze was more or less secured for the out of town trial. Would love to know who they cast as Brenda.

ABC is producing Megan Mullally's new pilot IN THE MOTHERHOOD so I assume she won't be playing Brenda after all.

I miss Weeds.

I thought someone mentioned in another thread that La Chanze was out. I hope she's straightened out the reasons behind her attendance problems. She's a wonderful performer and I'd love to see her in a musical comedy.

It's way past time Carmello moved on from Mamma Mia! It's paid the bills for a few years now and allowed her to do several projects between runs. She needs to stop taking replacement roles. She's one of Broadway's greatest assets.

Wow the idea of Gasteyer in this (even though it's just a reading) kind of made my day. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but which role would she be for? I would assume the Bette role, but can't really decide.

Annie- Carolee
Elise- Adriane
Brenda- Ana, who I think is far to young for any of the roles...

In terms of casting, according to a friend involved with the project:

Adriane Lenox will play Elise Elliot, Carolee Carmello will play Annie Paradis, Ana Gasteyer will play Brenda Cushman, Alton Fitzgerald White will play Bill Atchison, John Dossett will play Aaron Paradis, Brad Oscar will play Morty Cushman, Sara Chase will play Phoebe, Leslie, and Shelly, and Sam Harris will play Dwayne, a new character for the musical based very loosely on the character of Duarto Feliz from the movie.
