Hey, all! Quick question about FOOL FOR LOVE: Having not been inside the Friedman in a while, is Row BB the front row of the orchestra for this production? Also, is the better vantage point the mezzanine? Looking to secure a seat to this one. Any insight greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, row BB of the orchestra is considered the FIRST row for this production because the stage is built out (I sat on the aisle of row BB when I saw the show last week). The seats designating row AA are still there, but they are partially under the stage. Personally, I think a seat in the orchestra would be best for this show. It's a very intimate production and I found that being close enough to see the actor's facial expressions contributed immensely to the experience (especially for Gordon Joseph Weiss. He's fantastic in the show).

I saw in row BB and I LOVED being that close. I hated the play, but being that close definitely made it more interesting.

I'll echo the thoughts already shared: I sat in row BB when I saw the show, and being that close provided a much-needed intimacy that was missing from the actual production. The seats are a tad too close to the stage for my liking, but it's not a high stage. I would definitely choose BB rather than mezzanine.

I would also recommend that you sit on the right side of row BB instead of the left. Stage left is where most of the action takes place. At one point Sam Rockwell is downstage right on the floor, but the interaction of characters primarily takes place all along stage left. Also, Gordon Joseph Weiss sits in a chair downstage left almost the entire show. What that man is able to convey by just sitting in a chair most actors can't do when they've been given a whole stage.

^ It would depend on the parent and 16 year old. I would say it's no worse than an R-rated movie.

Sorry to thread steal. but has anyone done student rush? I was considering getting the 30 for 30 in advance but was wondering if I should save money and rush if the seats are decent thank you.

I can't find the Reviews thread, but this will do.
Did anyone else see this on B'way and at WTF? We saw it on Saturday and felt the ending of the show now was a bit more hopeful than in Williamstown. Got a chance to talk to Gordon Joseph Weiss after the show and he said they hadn't changed the script at all, but had changed some of the choreography, and he was seemingly quite interested in our opinions (he hung around nearly 10 minutes talking).
